Adventure Dog is designed to help dogs become capable, reliable companions in the places and situations where you want to enjoy life together. Our experienced, accredited trainers work with you and your dog to develop practical skills that support greater freedom, enrichment, and enjoyment on neighbourhood walks, hiking trails, at dog parks, and beyond.
Suitable for dogs of all ages and experience levels, Adventure Dog can be tailored to meet your individual goals. Puppies can build positive social experiences and learn how to confidently navigate new environments, while adolescent dogs can develop impulse control and learn to make better choices around distractions. For dogs of any age, we can address challenges such as over-arousal and reactivity, or simply strengthen their ability to focus and respond when the world around them gets exciting. Whether your goal is improving everyday walks or preparing your dog for greater freedom and more enriching adventures, training takes place both in controlled environments and real-world settings, while giving you the knowledge and skills to help your dog succeed.

The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviour (AVSAB) recommends the use of reward-based training methods for all dogs. We will never use pain, fear, or intimidation in the name of training, including equipment that could cause such feelings. We aim for training to be a physically and emotionally safe experience for all dogs. Afterall, dogs learn better when they’re having fun!

THE PROGRAM:
3 months of:

The program is separated into monthly stages, each stage may be purchased separately, or combined for a discount:
Stage 1 — Foundation
Our trainers take the lead in establishing your dog’s core skills through frequent day-training sessions.
Stage 2 — Transition
Training gradually transitions from trainer-led to owner-led as you take on a greater role in practising and applying your dog’s skills.
Stage 3 — Independence
You take the lead with your dog’s training through primarily owner-inclusive sessions, while our trainers provide coaching and support to help you confidently maintain your progress.
REQUIREMENTS:

Adopted minimum one month prior to start date

Comfortable with new people (able to warm up to working alone with a trainer – we can help with this transition!)

Adventure Dog Academy
Consists of three monthly stages, combining day training and owner transfer sessions.
Stage 1 – 8 sessions (6 day training, 2 transfers)
Stage 2 – 4 sessions (3 day training, 1 transfer)
Stage 3 – 4 sessions (0-1 day training, 3-4 transfers)
Day-training sessions are extended length of 1-2 hours
Transfer sessions are 45-60 minutes

Stage 1: $1440 + GST
Stage 2: $650 + GST
Stage 3: $600 + GST

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
All training bookings are non-refundable. Sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hrs prior to the appointment time. For cancellations within the allotted time frame, a credit will be issued to you on file.
